Overseas Youth Program &
Adventure Challenge Course OYP/ACC

This is a specific course to bring youths from Singapore, Brunei and Malaysia to jointly experience an Outward Bound course. An adventure based experiential learning experience which is fun, exciting and most of all educational. The participants will engage in challenging outdoor activities, cultural visits and community service projects.

An active participation in the programmes activities will enable the individual to realise a greater potential, to discover and re-affirm positive skills and values. Self-application and working in a team to encounter mentally and physically challenging situations in the outdoors creates agents of change. The individual would emerge with a different perception. Course activities which creates social interaction among different races and nationalities will highlight and enhance both personal and people skills. Enhance self-confidence and self-discipline through hands-on self-application and interaction with peers. 

  • To react positively to encounter challenges in demanding and changing situations. 
  • Stimulate mental flexibility to expand personal limits and discourage the tendency towards self-imposed barriers.
  • Experience and practice people skills essential for team-working and enhance leadership qualities.
  • Encounter the process of project management through discussion, implementation and reviews 

The programme begins with equipping the participant with basic technical and inter-personal skills. Subsequent activities will demand an escalating consistent hands-on application and an active self-examination of thoughts, emotions and attitudes. Tasks and team leadership roles during activities will highlight the planning, decision-making and action processes while reviews and discussions would give feedback on positive characteristics and values.
